When my sweet bride Blake let me know she was having her intimate elopement in Forks, Washington, I nearly screamed y’all. Where all my Twilight fans at?!!! Forks was as beautiful as I imagined, although we ended up having one of the sunniest days ever. Not the rainy lil day we expected (which obviously, my moody lil ass would’ve loved!) but that’s okay because we ended the night with the most incredible sunset ever. 

Blake + Porter wanted the most easy-going day with their closest friends and family, and that’s exactly what they had. They got ready in a little cabin, and then we explored the coast. We ended up finding this incredible tree where you can see all the roots, and it felt really beautiful and symbolic of their new lives together. 

Their ceremony was right by the water, and they shared their vows in front of 20 of their favorite people. Then we all headed to a private lil area that had the sweetest reception set up I’ve ever seen! Everyone grabbed some homemade chili and cornbread and sat around the fire on the handmade benches by Porter. SO CUTE!!! The coziest reception I’ve ever been to. And the chili – shfldjsfs SO GOOD!!!

Blake + Porter’s wedding day was perfectly them. Laidback, silly, watching the sunset with their favorite people – perfect. Elopements are such a great way to celebrate your day, your way. And I’m so glad and grateful I got to witness these kind, weird little souls do exactly that. Thank you for having me document your sweet, intimate Forks Washington elopement.
