A Camp Wedding at Under Canvas Smoky Mountains
There’s seriously nothing I love more than photographing full wedding weekends, especially when it’s at an Under Canvas location. When you spread all the wedding activities out, the wedding day is so laid back and easy going, which gives you so much more time to spend with all your friends and family. Especially if you have a destination wedding! And Under Canvas is the perfect place to do it. It’s the ultimate retreat to sleep under the stars with all modern luxuries. I’ve photographed weddings at Under Canvas Zion and Moab, so you already know I was so excited to check out the Smoky Mountains location too for another epic Under Canvas wedding weekend! Oh and it was the FIRST wedding held at this location, ever!
Welcome Night
Annabelle and Paul had a super fun weekend planned for their guests, appropriately called Camp Uncanderson (their last names, combined). They welcomed guests with shots featuring alcohol from both their backgrounds, and the cutest keychains with their tent number. There was a taco truck, cotton candy station, and sweet toasts to wrap up night one.
Wedding Day
On the wedding morning, we got some sweet moments of Annabelle + Paul (and their cuteass pup!) cuddling in their tent, and then we headed to yoga together. It was seriously the most laid back wedding morning I’ve ever experienced and it was AWESOME. They helped each other get ready half an hour before the wedding, had a short lil ceremony, an incredible reception, and live music to end the night.
Adventure Session
The next day, we all grabbed coffee from the coffee bar and headed to the mountains for their day after adventure session. Day after adventure sessions are a great way to explore more of the area you chose to get married in, perfect for destination weddings! And you get more wedding photos so you don’t have to spend too much time on the actual wedding day taking photos. All without worrying about your dress getting dirty! Win-win-win. We ran around, drank champagne, and watched the sun go down. It was such a memorable way to end their camp Under Canvas wedding weekend.
